Vida Capital Announces Two New Key Hires

AUSTIN, TX (August 7, 2019) – Vida Capital Inc. (“Vida”), a multibillion-dollar alternative asset manager specializing in non-correlated investment strategies, is pleased to announce the hiring of Benjamin Turk and Benjamin Weaver, who will both join the firm as Senior Associates in its Austin headquarters. Mr. Turk will be involved in marketing and investment evaluation. Mr. Weaver will be focused on the underwriting, structuring, and execution of new investments.

Mr. Turk joins Vida from Insight Equity, a Dallas-based private equity fund. While at Insight, he was responsible for evaluating and executing investment opportunities throughout various industry sectors and partnering with portfolio company management to implement strategic and operational initiatives. Prior to joining Insight Equity, Mr. Turk was an Investment Banking Analyst in the Natural Resources Group of Deutsche Bank. Mr. Turk also competed in the National Football League, signing with the New York Jets in 2018. Mr. Turk graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance, where he was a varsity punter and four-year letter winner.

Mr. Weaver joins Vida from Stephens Inc. where he was an analyst in the Financial Institutions Group for the Investment Banking Division in Dallas, Texas. While at Stephen’s, he was primarily focused on M&A and financing transactions in the commercial and retail banking space. Mr. Weaver received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Boise State University where he was the Outstanding Finance Graduate and the captain of the football team.
